What is this Tool?

Image Cropper is a simple, secure tool to slice and dice your photos. Remove unwanted edges, focus on a specific subject, or adjust aspect ratios for social media (e.g., square for Instagram, 16:9 for YouTube).

Unlike server-side tools that require uploading your potentially sensitive photos, our cropper runs entirely in your browser using HTML5 Canvas technology.

How to use

  1. Select Image: Drag & drop your file or click the upload area. We support high-res JPEG, PNG, and WebP formats.
  2. Draw Selection: Click and drag on the image to define the crop area. You can resize the box by dragging the screen (handles coming soon).
  3. Fine Tune: If you make a mistake, just drag a new box. The overlay dims the area that will be cut out.
  4. Download: Click Crop & Download to instantly save the result as a PNG file.

Q. Can I lock the aspect ratio?

Currently, the tool supports free-form cropping. We are working on adding presets for 1:1, 4:3, and 16:9 aspect ratios.

Q. Does it reduce image quality?

The cropped image is exported at the original resolution of the selected area. It is not upscaled or downscaled.
